Caution:
Follow Candle Care Guidelines. Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
Trim your wicks to 5mm before each burn. Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Candle jar will get hot! Do not burn on or near anything that can catch fire, eg. curtains or fabric. Always extinguish the candle and do not relight when the wax is less than 10mm. Keep out of direct Sunlight / UV exposure to avoid yellowing or discolouration.
Candle Care Guidelines
To ensure burn quality and longevity of your candles, proper candle care is essential.
Each candle we make is hand-poured in small batches from beginning to the final stage of labelling and polishing. Every effort is made to ensure quality control and consistency, however as each product is hand-crafted there may be subtle variances from time to time.
Our candles come with an important Safety Label adhered to the base of the candle vessel. Please take a moment to read this label to ensure Best Candle Care and Safety practices. Additionally please follow the guidelines as set out on your Candle Care Card that has been provided to you as part of your candle or melts purchase. These guidelines should be followed for optimal results from your candle or melts and to ensure your candle burns safely.
Failure to adhere to these guidelines can result in candle misuse for which we will NOT accept responsibility.
In addition to our Safety label, and your Candle Care Card that has been provided as part of your purchase, we have included our candle care and safety guidelines below to ensure optimal performance:
You must remember to:
1. Trim the Wick: Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to approximately 5mm or 1/4 inch. This helps to prevent excessive smoke, soot, and an uneven burn. A trimmed wick also ensures a cleaner and more efficient burn.
For Wooden wicks, either trim with wick trimmers, or you can pinch off the excess burnt wick. They burn best with a short wick.
2. Allow the Wax to Pool: During the first burn, it is important to allow the wax to melt and pool across the entire surface of the candle. This helps to prevent tunneling, where the wax only melts in the center, leaving unused wax along the sides. To achieve this, burn your candle for at least one hour per inch of its diameter. Do not burn any candle for longer than four (4) hours.
3. Avoid Drafts and Fabric: When burning your candles, make sure to place them away from drafts, such as open windows or air vents. Drafts can cause uneven burning and may lead to a shorter burn time. Do not ever place your candle near fabric, especially curtains or window furnishings. This is hazardous and may lead to fire. Keep away from window furnishings at all times.
4. Use Candle Snuffers: Instead of blowing out your candles, consider using a candle snuffer. This helps to prevent movement of the wick and reduces wax splatter and ensures a clean extinguishing process. Simply place the snuffer over the flame until it is extinguished.
5. Store Candles Properly: When not in use, store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. This helps to preserve their scent and prevents them from melting or turning yellow from exposure to UV light.
6. Avoid Overburning: It is important to follow the recommended burn time for each candle. Overburning can cause the wax to become too hot, leading to a shorter burn time and diminished scent throw. Always refer to the candle's instructions for the optimal burn time. Overturning, or burning longer than four (4) hours can also overheat the candle jar/vessel leading to a risk of cracking due to overheating.
7. Clean Candle Jars: If you have candles in jars, it is important to keep the jars clean. After the candle has cooled, gently wipe away any excess soot or residue from the inside of the jar. This helps to maintain the aesthetic appeal of your candles.
8. Never Leave Candles Unattended: Always remember to never leave burning candles unattended. It is important to prioritize safety and ensure that candles are extinguished before leaving the room or going to sleep.
9. Keep out of reach from children and pets.
10. Extinguish candle when 1cm/10mm of wax is remaining. Failing to do is hazardous, candle jar can overheat.
11. Burn candle on a heat resistant surface, candle jar and wax will get hot. Do not move a burning candle.
12. Remove any crystals or botanical material before lighting candle to safeguard from ignition and fire.
Please Note:
- Wax may re-set bumpy, this is normal for coconut-soy wax, and does not affect the candle performance.
- Candles with wooden wicks may discolour after the first burn, this happens with wooden wicks and is normal. Remember to trim the wick before lighting each time, simply pinch off excess or trim.
- Please follow Candle Care advice to ensure you get the best performance from your candle, and to ensure your candle burns safely and does not cause fire.

At Seven + Ember, we strive to provide a seamless shopping experience for our customers. This includes ensuring that your orders are delivered in a timely manner and that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. Below outlines our shipping policies and procedures, as well as our process for exchanges.
Shipping
When you place an order with us, we understand that you are eager to receive your items. We work diligently to ensure that your order is processed within 1 to 2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. For orders received before 12 Noon, we make every effort to process and dispatch all orders on the same day.
Once your order has been shipped, you will receive an email notification with tracking information. This allows you to keep track of your package and estimate its arrival time. Please note that there may be potential delays due to high order volumes or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
For domestic shipping within Australia, we provide a simple flat rate shipping option of $15 for all standard orders nationwide. This includes tracking of your parcel at no extra cost. We also offer free shipping for all orders over $150.
If you are located in our area, you have the option of in-store pickup or limited local delivery. Local pickup allows you to skip the shipping fees and collect your order directly. For local delivery, we offer free contactless delivery for orders over $100 within Kinglake and its surrounds. Deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Fridays between 9am and 2pm. We will notify you via text message on the day of our arrival.
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer international shipping. However, if you are interested in international shipping, please contact us, and we can provide you with a quote.
Exchanges
We do not exchange for change of mind. We understand that sometimes you may need to exchange an item. If you wish to exchange a product, the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have and make a separate purchase for the new item. Alternatively, we can facilitate an exchange if required.
